Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Julia Bell got her first taste of fly fishing at a young age in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles, “JB” ran out west as quickly as she could. Upon arrival in Jackson, JB fell in love with the unique fisheries surrounding Jackson as well as the supportive, welcoming and equally-as-nuts-about-fishing fly fishing community in the valley. JB loves exploring new areas, whether on foot or behind the oars, and she is always ready for the next big adventure. When she’s not out on the river, you can find her on skis, making custom cowboy hats and more than likely talking about fishing!
