Snake River The Snake is fishing well on all reaches as it typically does this time of year with flows from Jackson Lake Dam receding, air temps cooling (peaking under 75 degrees), and some wet, cloudy days to spark autumn emergences.  Hecubas, mahogany duns and BWOs dominate on those wet days.  Expect to see PMDs most days as well.  Claassenia stoneflies are still around, although waning with each passing day. Snake River Recent rains and cooler autumn temps have kicked September hatches into gear finally with more Hecubas and mahogany duns on the water.  Claassenia stoneflies are still around as well, as are some PMDs.  All reaches are fishing well on the surface with the best action coming from approximately 10:30am until after 5pm.  Banks, structure, troughs, riffles, seams, confluences, and side channels are all worthy targets. Snake River Angler Fly Fishing Report For August 29th, 2022

Snake River Flows are up from Jackson Lake Dam and currently stand at approximately 3,000 cfs.  Fishing was challenging after these increases but the river has settled down, fish have acclimated, and water temps have cooled to the point that finishing at or before 3pm is of no need.  There has been decent to good fishing most days and the increased flow have opened up certain riffle and side channels that previously were not worth…

Snake River Angler Fly Fishing Report for August 18th, 2021
